If you’re uncertain about whether you have the MS, MSD, or MSBD remote, feel free to consult your sales representative or locate the part number on the back of your remote. For our MSBD remote line, the part numbers are as follows: EL03-BDHH01, EL03-BDHH15, EL03-BDKEYCH.

Once you’ve identified the type of remote you possess, simply refer to the steps provided below to successfully program your remote.

To pair the remote with the motor, begin by unplugging your motor. Then, select your preferred channel on the remote. If the remote’s screen is blank, simply press the “-” button to activate it. Use the “<” or “>” buttons to navigate through the available channels. Once you’ve determined the appropriate channel for this specific motor, supply power to the motor and press the “-” button on your remote. The motor will jog twice and beep three times, indicating a successful pair between the motor and the remote.

If you have a DC motor (no wiring), start by locating the P1 button on the motor. The P1 button is on the end of the motor that has a colored cap that is either white or black. Press the P1 button and then select your desired channel on your remote. Hold stop (-) on your remote for 2 seconds. The motor should jog twice and beep three times, signaling that the remote has been successfully paired with the motor.

Let’s begin by addressing your UP and DOWN limits. The UP limit is where the motor stops at when pressing the UP button. The DOWN limit is where the motor stops at when pressing the DOWN button.

Starting with the UP limit, ensure your motor is in STEP MODE – a mode utilized by MaestroShield motors to “step” to its designated limit. Gradually raise the motor to your desired height, taking care not to go excessively high or low as the motor is in STEP MODE and won’t stop automatically. Then, simultaneously hold the UP and STOP (-) button for two seconds. The motor will then jog twice and beep three times, indicating that the UP limit has been successfully set.

Next, let’s do the DOWN limit. Position the motor at your preferred lower position and hold the DOWN and STOP (-) button for two seconds. Similar to the UP limit setup, the motor will perform two jogs and emit three beeps, confirming that the DOWN limit has now been set.

Suppose you’ve established your UP and DOWN limits but would like to adjust them to better suit your needs. To start, begin by heading to your DOWN limit. Hold down the DOWN and STOP (-) buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. Next, proceed to your newly desired limit. Press and hold both the DOWN and UP buttons for two seconds. The motor will jog twice and beep three times, confirming the new limit has been set.

Now, shift the motor towards the UP limit. Once the motor reaches its UP limit, hold down the DOWN and STOP (-) buttons for 5 seconds. Move to the new limit position and hold on the DOWN and STOP (-) buttons for 2 seconds. Again, the motor will jog twice and beep three times. This confirms the successful adjustment of the motor’s UP limit.

If your motor is not automatically going down or up on its own and requires you to keep pressing the up or down button to move, the remote is most likely stuck in STEP MODE. to get the motor out of STEP MODE, hold UP and DOWN for five seconds. The motor will jog once in response to holding UP and DOWN. Press the STOP (-) button. The motor should now be out of STEP MODE.

If you would like to delete all limits set on a motor, go to the correct channel on your remote and press P2. Remember, P2 is on the back of the remote behind the battery cover. The motor will jog and beep once. Press STOP (-) on your remote. The motor will jog and beep once. Press P2 again causing the motor to jog twice and beep three times. All limits have been deleted.

To add an additional remote to a motor, start by removing the battery cover of the paired remote and press P2. The motor will jog and beep once. Press P2 once more and wait for the motor to jog and beep again.

Now, take the new remote you intend to add, remove its battery cover from the back, and press P2. As a result, the motor will jog twice and beep three times, indicating that the new remote has been successfully added.

All rebound motors come with the rebound function enabled. If you would like to turn off the rebound function, start by removing the battery cover on the back of the remote and press P2. The motor will jog once and beep once. Press DOWN, again the motor jogs and beeps once each. Press DOWN once more. The motor will jog once then have one long beep, signaling the rebound function has been disabled. Repeat these steps to enable the rebound function. The motor will jog twice and beep three times to signal that the rebound function has been enabled.

To remove unused channels hold the LEFT (<) and RIGHT (>) buttons until the number 15 shows. Choose your desired amount of channels and press STOP (-). For example, if you have five screens/motors and are only using five channels, hold left and right until 15 pops up on the screen then navigate to 5 and press STOP (-) to confirm. Only channels 0-5 will be shown on the screen now. Repeat these steps to add channels back to the remote.

You might prefer to prevent unintended adjustments to your remote programming by using the lock function programmed in the remote. To engage or disengage the lock, simply hold the STOP (-) button for 15 seconds or more. When LOCKED, “L” will be displayed on the screen, while “U” will appear when UNLOCKED. This feature ensures your remote settings will not be changed when locked.
